WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

By Da-Mass in Random Ramblings on March 1st, 2009

During an hour’s swimming at a municipal pool you will ingest 1/12 liter of urine.

In an average day your hands will have come into indirect contact with 15 penises
(touching door handles etc.)

An average person’s yearly fast food intake will contain 12 pubic hairs.

In a year you will have swallowed 14 insects – while you slept!

Annually you will shake hands with 11 women who have recently masturbated
and failed to wash their hands.

Annually you will shake hands with 6 men who have recently masturbated
and failed to wash their hands.

In a lifetime 22 workmen will have examined the contents of your dirty linen basket.

At an average wedding reception you have a 1/100 chance of getting a cold sore
from one of the guests.

Daily you will breath in 1 liter of other peoples’ anal gases.

HAVE A GREAT DAY…
AND WASH YOUR DAMN HANDS!!!!

A message to election campaigns

By Amir in Celebration & Events, Random Ramblings, Swinburne on November 11th, 2008

Now that two campaigns have already posted their intros and slogans, I found it note worthy to remind them a few things:

Guys! We, as Swinburne Students, are tired of just listening to aimless slogans, which would be definitely forgotten or could not be fulfilled after you got elected! They are very very general and do not point to a certain problem!  Let me justify my thought:

Let’s start with Alex’s:
They have come up with the following general slogans:

1. To be proactive, responsive, communicative, more transparent, and an effective advocate for the students.
(What do you mean by proactive, communicative, transparent and effective? How do you want to be like that? Describe your programs)
2. Encourage a co-operative approach to learning, living, and working together in the school community.
(Again  how? Let’s say today is your first day in office! How would you start your program?)
3. Be student medium in which they can channel their views and voice their opinions.
(It is exactly the same slogan for almost every campaign, currently and in the past! Highlight your different method of bringing it to reality, if you have any!?)
4. Solve issues/problems that students have by encouraging students to participate in open meetings & discussion.
(Sounds like a good idea. Describe it in detail! I’m sure you are not gonna have a meeting with 2000 students!)

5. Organize more exciting and meaningful events for students. (Like? How?)

6. Forge a closer tie among local and international students.(Hey! you do not have even one international student in your  campaign! How can you claim this?)

I can see the same problems in the girls campaign’s slogans.
We do not really want to see another boring (Sorry current SSSC!) club, which is just carrying the name of  Swinburne Sarawak Students Council, but is actually Swinburne Sarawak Few Students Council! I do appreciate former clubs’ hard efforts, but there are still lots of problems you guys are expected to address! The long procedure of establishing a club and getting SSSC’s financial help is one of our main issues. As a committee member of International Students club, I have personally witnessed this hectic thing when we were arranging International Students Cultural Night.

Once more, avoid historic slogans and come up with something new! Not general, but specific.

Speaking on my own behalf, I would not vote for a group which does not describe its program specifically .

Thank you

Garbage Enzyme

By ericsoon in Random Ramblings on September 29th, 2008

I always thought that garbage is just one of the pollution factors. Environment maintenance isn’t really my field of interest. However, I am pretty awed to know that garbage isn’t entirely useless.

Some of the garbage can be recycled, some cannot. Recycling materials only enables us to reuse. On the biological part, garbage enzyme is more “multi-purpose-ful”. Refer to here.

It can be used as cleaning fluid, soil fertilizer, natural pesticide and herbicide, anti-bacteria agent, as well as foul odor remover.

Somehow, garbage just do not seem to be in a positive relationship with all the four uses above. But hey, it’s true.

It’s easy to make garbage enzyme. All you need is water, organic kitchen waste, the black sugar found in 3-layer teh c peng, and an air-tight container of any preferred size.

The ingredients ratio as follows:

Sugar : Organic Waste : Water

1 : 3 : 10

By the way, you do not have to be so precise and calculative.

Leave the solution sealed tight for 3 months, and the solution is ready for usage. It might be a little disgusting to make use of decomposed organic waste, but the results are good. Start making a bottle at the beginning of a semester and you can spare some money on mosquito repellent during midnight study before final exam.

On a side note, organic waste does not include humans and animals’ biological waste.

So, who wants to start using the liquid as repellent? It’s a odor remover, so it shouldn’t be that smelly.

You dare?? you want??

By johnsonwoan in Random Ramblings, SwinTalk on September 21st, 2008

Here’s something that i have stumbled upon recently in our Cafeteria, which i believe this will definitely make everyone of you proud of being a Swinburnian.
Trust me, you will be amazed of the drink that our very own Swinburne’s cafeteria produced whereby you can find this drink in any other Kopitiams but only purely in Swinburne. =P

My Potential Fingerprints

By johnsonwoan in Random Ramblings on August 25th, 2008

While you guys are desperately waiting for some of the interesting writing works with reference to the Swinburne GRAND Opening from the dedicated bloggers, here i am, for the first time on this weblog, entertaining you guys with this insipid and lame post of mine.

It’s undoubtedly a golden opportunity for me to be part of the Choirs to sing both Malaysian and Australian National Anthems. My privilege, i should say. Yet, this is not the “grand” happening that occurred on me on that afternoon.

What makes it more grand is right after the Choir singing, the aptitude of my two hands.

Photobucket

I managed to place my two hands on the handle and snapped a picture with the police bike. Don’t **cher** eh… How often can you place your both hands on those vast, deluxe and sophisticated police bikes before you actually get caught? *kidding of course*

At least, i took up the courage right? *grin*

Even so, this bravery incident doesn’t heat up the word “grand” to the max. What makes everything even more grand is actually my fingerprint !!! People, never ever under estimate the potential of my fingerprint. Why?

Simply because:

Photobucket

I have my fingerprint tattooed on CM’s Rolls Royce. Don’t *cher* eh. How often can a person, a normal citizen like you and i, plant down its fingerprint on our Chief Minister’s car? At least, I did it once. so do my peeps.

LOL! I know this snapshot is of incalculable value; still, don’t get jealous yea…

**The purpose of writing this post is to diminish your boredom. See how good and kind hearted i am? LOL. Johnson is still waiting patiently for the Grand Opening posts by the other writers.**

Relationship or Friendship

By ~ApRiL is HeRe~ in Random Ramblings on August 24th, 2008

Errrmm… tired after the Grand Opening…

WY said I can write whatever I want here…This is just something in my mind that I cant help anymore. I just need some people opinion on this topic. I don’t know how to start. Sometimes… we need to choose between relationship and friendship. I believe in “when you get bf/gf, you will lose some friends”.

From my female friends:

When they have new bf, they will still close to me or any friends. Only that they don’t have much time anymore, will spend the time with their own bf. And… they will only look for their friends, when they having problems or fight with the bf (me, myself is like that too, I’m admit that). They will not lose their male friends, because the bf is not easy to feel jealous, they won’t control their gf much.

From my male friends:

Aduh….

When they have gf… Everything changed.. I have a friend, who always on the phone with the gf all the time, when he is go out with us. Is a bit annoying for me, because, why not you just spent 2 or 3 hours with your friends without your gf? And the gf, always ask him to not do this and that because is embarrassing.

Aduh…when you like or love a guy, you will accept how bad and good they are. If my bf does something embarrassing is cute for me!!! And that is him, if that really make me feel shame, I will just cover my face.

MOST of the girls, they feel jealous SO EASY (including me)…!! That is really annoying; I hate it when I feel jealous. And girls, they LOVE to control the bf, can’t be friend with some girls; can’t go clubbing; can’t go out too late; complaint that the boy have no time for them. So annoying rite? (Actually I am like that too).

Some girls just too selfish, if you can’t believe your bf, then he is not the one for you. If you feel worry he will cheat one you, he is not the one. I can’t help it, because I’m a girl, I try my best to be better, but still jealousy always running around my head.

I hope I don’t have to feel what is ‘jealous’…!!

Girls…sometimes, you need to try understanding your bf, they are human like you. They have male and female friends. Don’t be selfish, but…you also need to watch out, because some boys might use the freedom you give for ‘something’ else. And remember, you are the gf, NOT the boss.

Boys… when your girl being moody whenever you with your friends (male and female), what will you do? Leave your friends and try to make her happy? Ck..ck…ck…she should understanding you…ck..ck…ck…ck.. She should know who are your friend before she be your gf.

I complaint a lot yah…whatever I wrote here, please, don’t ask me, who I’m talking about, because it’s including myself too. I’m still trying to be a nice gf for any boy who will be my bf LoL

Good nite!

Ps: I’m not really good in express something I want to say, so forgive me if I say something wrong.
